Letters to parents, Mr. & Mrs. Israel Rogers, brother Ed and sister Emma. The letters discuss camp life, the boats he sees at Newport News and working in the hospital, but most of the letters focus on family and home. Does describe one battle at Newbern, North Carolina where his good friend Albert Siske was killed. Expresses racist sentiments towards the Negro.
